Jilali counsels businesses on the employment aspects of domestic and transnational commercial and corporate transactions, such as contracts, workplace policies and best practices, termination and separation agreements, discrimination, harassment and breaches of restrictive covenants. He provides guidance with respect to due diligence investigations, audits, restructuring plans and reductions in force, as well as strikes and other collective conflicts related to organized labor. Jilali also helps clients identify opportunities and navigate obstacles that arise when trading internationally. Results : - Represented Hanes Brands, a US apparel company, on advisory and litigation work relating to employment law matters in connection with its acquisition of DBApparel, the leading intimate apparel and underwear company in Europe, to leverage its innovate-to-elevate strategy and global supply chain (with the realization of full benefits in three to four years, the acquisition would add, on an annual basis, more than $875 million in net sales, approximately $125 million in adjusted operating profit, excluding actions, and approximately $1.00 in adjusted earnings per share (EPS), excluding actions). - Advised HR Access Investors, a software industry company, on a divestment process in France, Spain and Germany, relating to the acquisition of HR Access by Sopra Group, a French listed company Advised Metsä Group, a Finnish forest industry group, in connection with the restructuring of the paper mil of Metsä Group’s French subsidiary, M-real Alizay. - Represented a multinational steel manufacturing corporation on advisory and litigation works in the context of an international litigation involving French and Brazilian entities of the group sued by a former services provider who claimed to be a salaried employee before civil and criminal courts. - Represented world leader in industrial engineering and manufacturer of power transmission belts and fluid power products, on labor and litigation works in France, including a settlement finalized with SKF, as well as a pan-European labor structuring.
