Description of Member's Practice: My practice involves litigating labor and employment matters in federal and state courts, including both single plaintiff and collective action matters brought under Title VII, the ADA, the FMLA, the ADEA, the NLRA, and Section 1981. I also defend employers against claims asserted under the Ohio Civil Rights Act (“OCRA”), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (“PHRA”), and New Jersey’s Law Against Discrimination (“LAD”) and Conscientious Employee Protection Act (“CEPA”). I am well versed in Pennsylvania’s Medical Marijuana Act (“MMA”), having valuable experience defending employers in both federal and state court from claims brought under MMA and advising employers on compliance with the Act. I also provide advice and counsel to employers concerning issues of reasonable accommodation, paid and unpaid leave, attendance issues, and discipline and termination. I have particular experience in advising employers on issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DE&I”), helping clients achieve their DE&I goals by assessing the current state of affairs through organizational audits and advising clients on the creation and implementation of legally permissible diversity, equity, and inclusion plans.
