Description of Member's Practice: I am a trusted legal advisor to business owners, in-house counsel, and human resources professionals on workplace concerns, including leave and accommodations, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and reduction-in-force and other business restructuring and downsizing issues. In addition, I maintain an active litigation practice, routinely defending clients in federal and state courts against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, ADA and FMLA claims in addition to class action wage and hour allegations. I also represent employers before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. My goal is to help clients effectively manage employment-related risk while balancing business realities in an ever-changing legal landscape. Most recently, I have provided advice and counsel to businesses in addressing the complex employment law issues presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, including reductions-in-force, WARN and mini-WARN compliance issues, furloughs, employee personal safety concerns, and providing accommodations and emergency sick and family leave for employees. My practice also focuses on internal workplace investigations regarding discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ethical and policy violations. I also have experience in higher education investigations, involving complaints of sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and violation of internal policies.
