Lisa is an experienced litigator who regularly defends employers in state and federal courts, arbitration, and before administrative agencies in matters spanning nearly all facets of California employment law with a particular focus on claims involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodation, leave of absence issues, defamation, wrongful termination and wage and hour claims. She takes a highly strategic and thorough approach to defending clients in litigation and has led the defense of many employment lawsuits across numerous industries. Lisa also devotes a significant part of her practice to advising corporate clients on employment law, managing employee disputes and handling day-to-day employee issues. She provides practical, business savvy advice and counsel regarding wage and hour issues, leaves of absence, accommodation of disabilities, preparation and implementation of employment policies, advice on employee hiring, discipline and separations, and managing and/or conducting workplace investigations. Lisa also routinely conducts training for clients on issues including harassment and abusive conduct, managerial skills and responsibilities, and disability accommodation and leaves of absence. She is also a frequent speaker at conferences and events across the country. Lisa’s clients value her focus on and awareness of the realities of running a business when defending litigation and advising on workplace issues.
